Still, Mat and Spats went fishing. Mat "caught a big one" and fell in the water. Then a brown pie hit his head. It was funny with your fur sticking up. He found a drum set and started to bang. Then they had to cross a river using small pieces of wood. They came to a forest. Then they hunted down a rabbit. Finally they went home. This was NOT a production, they really did it. But, Vincent liked it so much that he made it! They learned cooperation, friendship, and teamwork on that adventure. "Mat taught me how to survive" says Spats. NOTE: mat had to take a bath after the writing of the book because of the pie that still remained on his head. They have been best friends ever since.

To make the funny neighborhood of Mat the Cat, we had to make names of the places too. Here they are: Mat's house, Spats' house, Sally's house, the cat hotel, Cheezer's club, Movie night at Mat's house, the park, and rats with cats. Here are some of their adventures. DRIVING MICE MESS-UP SCHOOL: mice are in town, and they are messy in polluting and ripping up the neighborhood. So when Mat says "yuck, this is a mess!," the other cats agree. Meanwhile the mice are chattering away. "I'll be glad when the cats are gone" "me too!" say the mice. When Cheezer suggested they should have a meeting, they put up a sign for it. Mat sees the sign and says "we should go" followed by Spats saying "o.k. Mat". The cats really want to complain about the mice! "I need your help to lick this mouse problem." The cats set off...... Only to find a building with signs that read: little smokey Cheezers club, eat at Cheezers, no cats allowed.

"I goofed". "We'll disguise ourselves as Texas mice; they grow E'm big there" Says Fletcher. "that's a dumb idea." "they'll never fall for it." says Mat. But they go in anyway. "Hey who let these cats in here!" "Oops!" The mice start throwing snacks at the cats that include an Apple, a fish, a fish skeleton, and cheese. The cats get the last laugh as they scoop up the goodies. Later, at Mat's house, the cats are watching a movie when spats murmurs: car. It wakes up Tom who's sleeping. The gang tries to teach Spats how to drive. Spats, who's driving his car up a ramp which Mat is under, is being coaxed by Mat. "That's it. nice and slow." The car shoots up the ramp, burst threw the blocks, flies threw the air, crashes down, and breaks a electric circuit right over Mat! Mat is electrocuted. For a while he runs around screaming, black eyes, prickle paws, fire tail. Spats and Sally shake paws. They call a doctor but its a mouse! They run away and. BANG! THE END -Mat and me

Spats

Forming the gang, Spats became the second main character and very excited he was. So we had to write "Mat and Spats" over again. Spats was very impatient and I was writing as fast as I could "Mat on the run", but it was long, but I did it. "Mat on the run" is a story book with Spats in it. Even though he was impatient, a great role seemed to be cast upon him as Mat's trusty sidekick. In Spats roll from "Driving mice mess up school" they were in the middle of movie night when Spats starts murmuring "car" waking up Tom, who is a peaceful sleeper. Because of Spats car murmuring Mat and Cute kitty try to teach Spats to drive, causing the reaction of Mat being electrocuted, while coaxing him to come closer. The sign for the meeting of mice, is the signal for Fletcher to save the day by telling them to disguise as mice from Texas. "They grow E'm big there". But Spats (still casual) says nothing. In the story "Mat and Spats" (this was Spats first episode) Mat and Spats were walking along and they saw a mud puddle (Spats jumped into it too soon and we had to do take two). Mat said; "should we jump in?" Spats said;"yes". They jumped in. Boy did they get muddy! Hiring Spats was something, there were two Spats in town, and they looked alike! So we took in one as Sally, and the other as Spats! He didn't have much talent by then, and we made a sequel to his role in "Mat and Spats". It was called "nuts". There he seemed to be funnier then his role in "Mat and Spats". Seemed to have more character. In the role, he was a nutcracker who banged on nuts with a hammer. In the end, he had peanut earrings. This one only had Spats In it and that made Mat jealous. -Mat the cat writing studio

Mat's child adventures

As a child, Mat liked to do things that he did not do often when he was bigger. He used to play with balls and yarn and catch mice. Then, sometimes, he would play tricks on himself, but his freckles always forgave him. Sometimes he would pretend to sleep and make fake snores, but he always burst out with shrieking peals of laughter that triggered annoying laughter that was uncontrolled, slow, and low, and it gave him away. He also has tremendous ideas that never work. Mat and Spats met quite a while ago and have been best friends since. Sally is his other best friend and together, they formed the gang. Brown pie gags are funny and wet fur tries its hardest. So, one day, Mat was playing with a piece of yarn, it unraveled and he chased it. All the way to a rocket ship! It started up and fired off. He was blasted into space! He landed on the Moon. With his extra sense of smell (cats have them you know) he smelled that aliens were coming! "Send down the bombs!", Mat says. He finds a drum set with his name on it! He gets back into the ship and blasts into the sea! He thinks "no hens down here to eat" "But lots of me", says Squid. "Golly", says Mat. Introduction to Mat's Adventures

Mat's adventures as a cat are very exciting. Especially the time when he got blasted into space and the time he went underwater. He faces fun and lots of danger like the angler fish and the aliens. Of course there are funny gags, like little smokey cheezer's club. Mice are also good, tasty, and messy. Some stories have science in a weird way like in "Mat and gravity".
